  1. Sopapillas. Though maybe not as filling, they only need to rise once. And even though they aren't as filling, you can cook a lot at once so it ends up coming out in the wash. Or the fry. Whatever.

    1. That's more or less what they ended up being like. I figured if I put enough cinnamon sugar and honey on the things, they kids would eat them, right?

  3. We made homemade donuts this weekend too! First time ever for me. I tried using multiple cookie cutters to make different shapes, but they ended up just looking like big misshapened puffs. The boys didn't mind, but I think it's cheaper and easier to just buy a dozen next time. =)
