Snapshots from a Sunday, vol. 8

What should young people do with their lives today? Many things, obviously. But the most daring thing is to create stable communities in which the terrible disease of loneliness can be cured.

Everyone went to bed early, so I decided to stay up and watch a movie.  I was debating over Sherlock Homes or Persuasion and then I remembered that I had recorded the Olympics.  I was watching men's gymnastics at this point.  I never did get to my movie.

As always, thanks to everyone who took time to share a moment of their day.  This volume of Snapshots not only had the most contributors, but it marks the first time we had (not one, but two!) members of Team Testosterone contribute.  One of those male contributors is a member of the clergy, which practically confers Papal blessing on this meme, right?

If you took a picture and haven't sent it yet, please feel free to do so.  I can always go back and add it in.  If you sent a picture and it's not here and/or I messed something up, let me know and I'll do my best to fix it.

Lastly, a big thanks to my sister-in-law, who let me take over her computer for several hours while I put this together.

    1. Also, Dwija, I love how hopeful and excited your little son's face is mixed with your hilarious caption. I hope the fish is still living, for his sake :)

    2. Oh my gosh, you guys are sweet! The fish is actually still alive despite 1) living in a pickle jar and 2) not having any actual fish food.

Tomorrow. Dead by tomorrow. I can feel it!

  3. Excellent snapshots once again, Cari! Thanks for hosting! I loved all of the Olympic coverage :) I somehow feel as though mine was a 'downer' contribution, but I guess it was a real snapshot of my Sunday so it qualifies. Sometimes Sundays aren't always beautiful and fun. lol.

    Thanks again Cari!

  4. I wanted to take a picture of the delicious bacon I made for breakfast, but was too ashamed of my messy kitchen...

  5. Either my caption was too wordy and boring that you made the executive decision to nix it from the post for the sake of quality control.....or you didn't see it at the bottom of my email.

    I hope it's the latter.

Regardless, I still had a blast joining!

  6. Love them - there always seems to be a hidden theme. This one was Olympics. Looks like most got the memo.

    P.S. Where's Jen's photo, hmmmmm?

P.P.S. Have fun with your family!!!

  7. Enjoyable pics from everyone.
Long distance family trips: once you're there, everyone forgets the horrible drive. And once you're finally home, the horrible drive is forgotten as everyone only remembers the good times with family. But long drives with kids are oh so horrible. My husband and I have an in depth discussion about teleporters around 1 a.m. every time we drive to Wisconsin. Enjoy your visit and safe travels.
