Theme Thursdays

Have you guys ever checked out Florabella photography?  You should.  It's gorgeous.  Or, if you're like me and easily given to the sin of envy, you probably shouldn't, because I'm not kidding you, this stuff is buh-yoo-tiful.

They (she? he?  it?  I don't know) have a photography challenge that they host on their facebook page called Project 24.  First I thought about joining in, but then I realized that my photography is so not on par with what's posted on that page that I'm not sure we're even talking about the same hobby.

So instead, I thought I'd host a weekly photography linkup here on the blog because I like you guys and I love the submissions I get for Snapshots and I want to see more of your stuff.  We'll meet here on Thursdays, link up with our theme-inspired picture from the week, and encourage one another.

Look!  Graphic!

Don't feel like you need a fancy camera to join in.  Use whatever you have.
Don't feel like you need a blog to join in.  You can always post your picture on the blog's Facebook page.

I know it's short notice, but I'll have the first linkup tomorrow.  The theme is sunflare/haze.  And since we're here in the middle of a New England winter, my picture will be of the latter, and will look something like this:
'cause there ain't no sun around here until late March.

See you tomorrow?

  1. Which setting is the sun flare setting? Is that the tulip, the mountain, or the lightning bolt?

    1. Yours doesn't have the "smiley face sun" setting? Too bad. You're just going to have to take a picture of haze.

  2. So interested to try this...your photography is to me what Florabella is to you, pretty unattainable. Sooo trying to get better at this and coming up with the same ol' photography class of freshman year wreckage. Why can't the camera just see what *I* see?

    1. I feel the same way about my camera! Why can't it take a picture of a thing that I'm obviously looking at? I can't wait to see your pictures, Rebekah. I'm so glad you're going to join in!

  5. I love this idea! I'm always wishing I had more time to play around with my camera, so this might just be the motivation that I need! I'm visiting you from A Knotted Life, via the award nominee list, and am looking forward to following you! - Susan www.solesearchingmamma.com
