Parenting: We're Doing It Right

At science co-op yesterday, Lotus made a non-Newtonian fluid (a.k.a. "goop") out of white glue and Borax soap.  The result was a polymer that made me want to vomit, but was completely delightful to the kiddies.

Later that night, Lotus entertained her youngest brother for a solid hour by shaping the goop into a little Adipose:
while John-Luke shrieked, "Adipose!  Cute widdle Adipose!  I wuv Adipose!!"

Parenting.  I think we're doing it right.

  1. When my mom made the Borax/glue goop for me, it was the coolest thing ever. Except, being an only-child, I had no one to talk to when it came to shaping my goop into figures. I did a whole lot of talking to myself...
