Winter Storm Nemo

So when your husband gets up during the night to check the snowfall amounts, and, upon looking out the window simply whispers, "Oh God", you know it's going to be interesting when dawn comes.

And it is.

As soon as I get some coffee in me (which I can do, since we didn't ever lose power, not even once, thank you, good and gracious God), I will post another one of my very professional videos.

Check back.  Story developing.

UPDATE:
Had coffee.  Took this video.  Have not showered in two days.  These two details explain both my agitated state (caffeine) and poor skin tone (no makeup).  The things I do for you to bring the freshest content possible.

  1. EEK!There's that snow you were waiting to measure.
And, the abominable snowman too! Double EEK!

We're in waiting on a snowstorm here (not near a Nemo) that will come just in time to ruin our birthday party plans for tomorrow. Blasted MN winter!

    1. Awww... Sarah! Not the birthday party! But you have a SNOWFLAKE THEME! Sort of were asking for it with that one, no? ;) Hope it's not too bad and you have the best birthday party either way.

    1. I think the kids suspect that's why I keep shooing them outside...

    1. Ken hasn't been able to carve his way out to a flat surface (we live in a hollow), but he says three feet easy, more in the drifts. The channel that the snowblower carved out comes up mid-thigh on me. It's crazy.

  6. Holy wha?! I've *never* seen that much snow. I'm all jealous in Missouri -- I'd even take the abominable snowman if it meant we could have a taste of your blizzard!

  8. Oh my goodness! That is so much snow! I grew up in Texas and now live in Kansas and if there is more than an inch I feel like my world is turned upside down! You guys are amazing for braving the winter weather! Love it!

  9. Reality show sneak peeek! Thinking of you from MA! Glad your safe even with all those "yeti's" (how DO you spell yeti, yetee, ye-ti?) Love that he calls it that instead of an abominable snowman. xo

    1. Did you get much snow? Or were you one of those lucky people who got smaller overall totals AND got to experience "thundersnow"?

  10. You are so brave. Going outside like that. First there's the Yeti. Then there's the snow. Which is cold. At least that's what I've been told.

    Wouldn't catch me out there!

    1. Ha! Once I was done with the video, I hightailed it back inside. My mama didn't raise no dummy.

  11. Oh, so THAT's why you got the snow. Silly, prideful Nemo. What a punk. BTW, I think the real life Yeti in the background was a show stealer.

    1) Where'd you get the awesome hat?
    2) Why did you scream at the end?

    1. The Yeti was surly though.
      1. My mom's best friend made it. Lotus has a matching one in purple. I haven't taken it off since getting it the other day.
      2. I thought I'd turned off the camera, then sat there patiently waiting for it to stop blinking at me. Then I was fumbling with the off button, finally screaming in frustration. But it only caught a tiny bit of the start of the scream, so it looks much more disturbing than it actually was. Like a horror movie easter egg!
